IT'S A GIRL!!

I don't know why, but for some reason Bo and I both were "SOOO" convinced that we were going to have a boy. Maybe just because I had never seen myself as a girl parent. I still refuse to register for anything pink, to be honest, I really am not a fan of the color. We have a room that is red and that is going to be the baby room, we have some really cute ideas as far as decor goes, it will be very cute.
We are very excited though, she is going to have a great group of little friends to hang out with already, Avary Dietrich (her cousin), Ellie Cobb, Evie White, Melia Gumbert, and Emery Gumbert. I can't wait to see all these girls grow up together, I can't wait to have slumber parties, and birthdays with all of them. We are so blessed to have such great friends around us who we know are all on the same page as far as parenting our children goes. I am excited to see what the Lord has in store for our years ahead, He is so good!

Prince Edward Island

We are back! Our trip was beautiful. Every corner you turn you feel like there is another scene or house, or beach you could take a picture of. It is so green! I absolutely love it there. We had a blast with my family, they are always keeping us laughing. It was relaxing, but we still got a lot done too. Bo and I had a day when it was just us, so fun, we rented a car which was great. We had breakfast and took our time, did some sight seeing. I love being on vacation, well i guess who doesn't.

Here are all my cousins from PEI, my one cousin flew in from Florida for the week, we were so glad!

This is the shed in my Aunt Kims yard, she has a 2 sheds and a barn, her property is amazing, I love her house.
We had the most amazing FEAST of lobster! There were about 35 all together for 10 people. WE ate til we could not eat anymore. So tasty! This is my Aunt Kim, isn't she cute?

Just another pretty place.

Everything is so green, it made it so depressing to come back here to triple digit heat and everything BROWN!

My cousin who lives in Florida now, he is a pilot. He is one of my most favorite people.

So pretty.

At the beach, Basinhead. All their beaches are beautiful white sand, no waves, cold water, so clean, and hardly any people.

We went Kayaking in Brudenell, on the river, which is salt water. It was a beautiful day, the sky is amazing!

Everyone the day of the Lobster Feed.

This was a fraction of the amount we had, on the counter behind this was 2 trash bags full. Crazy! And it cost all together about $300.00, can't find that in the states.
If you ever have the chance to go, you really should. It is so dreamy! We will miss it, hoping to go back again in the future. I already miss the weather and my cousins. My cousin Ada will be coming out here to California for school, which I am so stoked about. She is going to be living in Costa Mesa with my Aunt, and going to Orange Coast College.

We are outa here!

We are on our way to Prince Edward Island, Canada! (Think Anne of Green Gables, even though that is not why we are going). I have cousins there and an Aunt, I can't wait to see them, we always have so much fun when we are together. Bo has never been and I am so excited to show him. It has been a while since we have had a vacation so we are really looking forward to getting away.
My Aunt with Her kids, at Grandma Janes house.
Here is a picture of their town

Here are my Cousins, obviously there wont be snow when we are there! Whew!
See you all back on the 19th!! Someone will be staying at our house, taking care of our plants and our dog!

"I'm in the way of you falling down
I won't let you go that far now
I won't let you go

You think that hope was left behind
I picked it up a mile ago
I am running close behind
so do give up and don't let go

I'm in the way of you falling down
I won't let you go that far now
I won't let you go" -Jars of Clay

I am blessed and thankful to have many friends who love me and keep me accountable to my God and Savior Jesus Christ. I am especially thankful for my big brother and friend "Erock" Cobb, who have relentlessly directed my heart to the Word of God. Who have invested time, money, prayers and himself to show me the Jesus. Who continues to challenge me to live life as a disciple of Christ. I thank you Erock for your commitment to our God and for "being in the way."

My love has a baby in her stomach

In the summer of 2003 I met a really cool yellow haired, blue eyed girl while serving as the Bible teacher for a youth camp in Idyllwild. Little did I know I would marry that girl three years later. After almost another three years of being married my love is pregnant with our first child. What an amazing gift that the Lord has blessed us with.

I've always wondered how our kids would look and what their personality would be like. I've had the privileged to learn from all my close friends and see how they parent. I've had the privileged to be apart of the lives of their children. To be amazed at how intelligent (Mason Cobb) a child can be; how daring (Tyler Tinahui) a child can be; how happy (Eli White) a child can be; how content (Avary Dietrich) can be and that was only to name a few.

I can not wait to join the parenthood club and have you all be apart of my child's life. I know Hannah and I will be decent parents with friends like you whose aim is to glorify Christ in everything. I am so thankful to be able to experience the best seasons in life with my love, my bride, my Hannah.

Jessica

This last Saturday I went up to Van Nuys to visit my dear friend Jessica. I just love her so much. We were roommates at Vanguard my Senior year, but we were neighbors my freshman year, basically friends throughout college. We were both in each others weddings too. I miss her so much, I hope we can start getting together more often, we are both so busy. I am so thankful for her friendship, and the mutual love for Christ that holds that together.

This is at her wedding, June 30th, 2007. That is our other good Friend Jenna.

This is at her birthday party in 2006, little did she know that she was going to get engaged this night!

At her wedding rehearsal, it was 70's themed, so fun and Hilarious!

My senior year, her junior year, roommates.

Love you Jess! I can't wait to see what GOd will do in our livesz in the future, i am so thankful to have you as a friend!

Easter Eggs!

Happy Easter!! I saw this egg dying technique on www.foodgawker.com, its my favorite food/recipe website. I thought I would try it, it didn't look too hard, and the ones they showed pictures of turned out awesome! First you start out with some old silk ties, I got mine at the thrift store for 1.00 each, then i found out that 2 of mine weren't all silk, I decided to try using them anyway, the silk ones definitely work way better. You have to rip all the seams out, and have just the piece of silk, you can you silk hankies or shirts too, I just did not have any.
Then of course you need some plain, raw eggs.
I wrapped each egg completely in the silk, with the printed side in, then tied it with thread, but they recommend twist ties, which would have been 10 times easier, but I don't have any of those.
(and if you can't tell, I don't really know how to use Bo's camera, so the focus is all off.)
Here they are all wrapped, I almost just left them like this, I think it looks pretty!

Next you have to wrap them in another layer of just thin cotton, I used an old pillow case.

Then boil them on a low boil in a ceramic or glass pot with about 1 cup white vinegar in the water for about 20 minutes.

FINISHED PRODUCT!!!
(again the focus is off...sorry, maybe Tracy can help me learn how to use this thing!!)
I think this one is my favorite.
Yeah its my favorite.

This one turned out really good, but I wish it was darker.
Ohhhhh I like this one too!
This is all of them. The tie selection wasn't great, but if you do them, stick with bold, vibrant, patterns, and the ugly ties made the best ones. Who knew! Reds, blues, purples, and dark greens worked good, and make sure they are 100% silk, if it doesn't say it on the label it says it one the end of the skinny side of the tie, I learned that after I bought them, oh well.

"Christmas" in Mammoth

I guess we didn't really have Christmas in Mammoth this year, like we did last year. Bo had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so it was kind of a weird year. My Aunt Cindy and Uncle George have a house in Mammoth, and have started making it a tradition of being up there for Christmas with the whole family, we were there a few days before. It is always a blast, my aunt plans everything to the tee. It was beautiful, every morning we would wake up to another foot of fresh snow, and the day after we left they got a huge storm! Bo snowboarded one day, we were only there for 3 days. You can walk to Chair 15 from their house, its so convenient.

Christmas day I made brunch for Bo's family and Hung out with them for a little bit, then was at home for a little while, then hung out with the Dietrich's, that night I drove out to Palm Desert to be with Bo when he got off work, we ate dinner and just hung out, we were going to see a movie but when it came down to it we really didn't feel up to it. It was a weird Christmas without him with me the whole day, but it was still good, I am blessed to have so much family close by.

This is the view from their second story window.

On the tram/monorail whatever its called.

It was chilly! However, the day before we showed up it was 0-9 degrees, so it "warmed" up for us.

My Aunt every year has made everyone something to wear with our names monogrammed on it, last year all the girls got nightgowns and the boys flannel pajamas, this year we all got these red fleece vests, even Avary. And of course we all have stocking with our names.
