Push Ups!
Yesterday, Josiah (Bo's little brother) and I went to Ben Clark training center to go watch Bo Challenge the Senior champ to a push up contest (see my other post if you have questions). It was fascinating! Josiah loved watching his brother, we were parked in one of the front rows of the parking lot, and they did all their marching like 10 feet from our car! They were singing cadences and the whole time Josiah was singing along, he thought the songs were so "cool". Then the moment we all had been waiting for came, the main event! Both classes brought out their Push up champ, and were chanting their name, Josiah looked at me and said "hey they are yelling our name!" (Sivilay).
So the way the contest works is not how many you can do in a certain amount of time, or who can do the most at all, there is a member of the TACT staff who regulates when they go up and down, sometimes they are in the down position for a while, then he will say "up", they then are in the up position for a while. This is far more grueling than just busting out as many as possible. Talk about muscle fatigue! They both had a puddle of sweat on the concrete under their chin. They are not aloud to lift their hands off the ground, and their chest cannot rest on the ground. It went on for almost 9 minutes!!! They were both shaky, and red, and tired. it came down to the end and the Tact staff guy said "up", but Bo just couldn't get back up, he said his arms wouldn't let him... :-( he was pretty bummed. I think the other guys cheated though, their was one point that he adjusted his body and it looked a little compromising to me. All in all though Bo did such a great job, I was SO proud, and so was Josiah, he defiantly gave the guy a run for his money!! Good job babe!!

Family
Okay I know this is the second post today, but I am in an office and all I have to do is oversee these kids taking tests, it is far from exciting.
(Jenna you will appreciate these)....as many of you know my parents and little brothers (9 & 11) live in Hawaii, and if you are wondering if I miss them, wonder no more, I miss them like CRAZY! My mom recently sent me some pictures that give a pretty good update into their lives...
This is the House that my parents are building on the West side of the island (Kona), my dad custom made the handrailing, this is what he does for work. I am quite impressed actually! They are looking to rent this house out if anyone is interested, it is two story and both floors can be rented out seperately.

This is my Fam! this girl is from a Christian reggae group called Christafari, I remember listening to them in Junior High, but I guess they are making a come back! She actually lives in Murrieta! She stayed with my parents while they were playing at their church. We are hoping to get her to come to Kaleo.
This is my little brother Jacob! They have wild pigs roaming their property all the time, and apparently this one got seperated from its mother and they caught it and it is all attached to them, it is kind of cute, but won't be in about a month when it is eating them out of house and home!

Look it even reads the bible!!

This is My brother Isaac, he is the older one, giving the baby pig a bottle!

Mexico
This last Saturday we went down to Mexico. This is a monthly trip for Kaleo, we have been visiting Grace Childrens Home for about 2 years now consistently. If you have not gone, cancel everything you have planned on April 26th and GO! This last weekend was a special trip, this was their 3rd anniversary! They have had such a great impact on the community. At the celebration there were government officials from Tijanua and Rosarito, some of the kids shared their testimonies about how Grace Children's home has changed their lives. These are kids that were literally living on the streets from a really young age, abandoned to fend for themselves, abused, and neglected. It brought tears to my eyes hearing how God's grace has changed their lives, one little boy said,
"When I put my shoes on in the morning, I know that everything is going to be okay".
These are the luxeries that we take for granted all the time, but for him this is something that signifies love, security, a home. It was so great to see all the support that they are recieving from the United States, from various churches, and from the surrounding community. They just recently finished and opened a huge education center on the property, and did a groundbreaking ceremony for their new project that will be an infant care center as well as a retirement home for the elderly, how perfect is that, the old folks taking care of the babies!
Please keep Grace Children's Home in your prayers they are doing a great work down in Mexico, this is a place that is less than 2 hours away, we could have such a greater impact than we do down in Mexico, and we don't even take the opportunity. Consider going on the 26th, you will not regret it, and take your kids too, they would love to play with all the kids!

Joy...
So since starting the academy, Bo has officially become a morning person. I have always liked to get up early, get the day started, have a good cup O' joe, but i also LOVE to be in bed by 9:30, 10 at the latest. Bo could stay up all hours of the night, he is able to function well on 4-5 hours of sleep, not for long periods of time though. There is always one day every couple of weeks that he sleeps in, takes a nap, then goes to bed at a decent hour to catch up.
Since February 5th, my poor loves alarm has been sounding off loud and clear at about 4:15am every weekday morning. Now I don't know if anyone is even up then, but it really is some kind of ungodly hour! He jumps right out of bed, shuts the alarm off and gets going, with not even a second thought to turning right around and nuzzling right back under the sheets. Now me on the other hand, who actually is suppose to be liking getting up early, waits until the last second to jump out our nice cozy down comforter. Not only does Bo get up ready to roll, he is Joyful about it. I don't think in all the 25 months that we have been married has Bo ever woken up in a bad mood, wrong side of the bed, whatever you want to call it. You'd think this would be the time if any, but not even now! It really is such a blessing to be married to this man, he teaches me things about myself all the time. I have been such a proud wife, especially these last couple months, not once has he complained, been upset, cranky, I have probably done more of this than him, and I am not the one at 6am getting yelled at to do push up and run!!
People in his academy ask him all the time, "I want whatever your on Sivilay, why are you always in such a good mood this early," this has obviously opened many opportunities to share that our joy is not here on earth, but in things that are eternal, that our joys comes only from the LORD and not in the things we accomplish.
Psalm 16:11- You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
I am so thankful that our Joy does not rest in the hands of people, or anything here on earth, or accomplishments, but constantly in the presence of our God, and knowing that we serve a sovereign God we can give thanks and find joy in the things He has ordained in our life knowing that He has our good in mind, and he will have His glory one way or another.

Push-Up King
So we had a very proud moment yesterday. Bo has officially become the push up champion of class 175 at the Sherrifs academy!! He has beat all 87 guys! This is kind of a big deal, the next contest he is going up againt the seniors, who are going to graduate in a few weeks, and if he beats them it entitles some mad bragging rights. So if anyone wants to challenge Bo, bring it!

First Time Ever!
I know everybody's doing this now! I usually am not one to jump on bandwagons, however, it is a good way to stay connected. There are many things that are going on in the Sivilay family, and I thought this is a good way to keep you all updated. I don't know if I will be as faithful to this as Tasha Cobb, who has the best Blog ever, but I will try.
